Description
I titled this photograph "Autumn Babble" because this work makes me not only think and feel Autumn, but also hear it. Fall, to me, is the season with the best sounds. The creeks have a gentle murmur, as the water flow wanes due to less precipitation as well as less snow melt (as opposed to California, where they have a gentle murmur, but due to the very beginning of any flow at all). But the forest itself has a quiet "babble" too, with the leaves softly falling, and all the creatures unable to prevent themselves from rustling the forest floor. This work makes me hear all of these things. The photo was taken in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina, near Santeetlah Lake.
Original piece is an archival quality giclee print using the renowned Canon Lucia inks on the unparalleled Hahnemuhle Premium fine art paper. The result is a simply stunning color range and depth that is impossible to reproduce on a screen. The print is titled, dated, inspected, and signed by me. It is then matted using an archival quality mat, which is hand cut by me to the exact proportions which best fit this specific image. The mat is also signed, in pencil. For this image, the mat is 20''x16'', and the print is 16''x11''. The original is a true work of art that will remain pristine and collectible for a lifetime and beyond.
